A Chainbuster gravel staple, Shake N Brake has been a part of the gravel series from the beginning. This year, a favorite gets an update! Now starting from beautiful downtown Piedmont, AL, the route will take you over Dugger Mountain and into the beautiful Talladega National Forest. Along the way 60 mile route, you'll encounter beautiful mountain views, scenic cascading streams, and plenty of rolling hills. This year, the journey will take you all the way to Georgia before you make your way back to Piedmont on the amazing Chief Ladiga trail! Make no mistake, this race isn't easy, you'll encounter plenty of climbs and a bit of rugged terrain before you hit the full gas 13 mile return section.
On the short course, you get the joy of hitting Dugger Mountain TWICE! YAY YOU! Mile for mile, the short course is a bit more relentless than the long! (No point in sugar coating it!)
After the race, there will be an amazing post race party hosted by Shell's Restaurant at The Place Downtown. Trust us, you do not want to miss any part of this amazing weekend!
